About Caroline…

Caroline Little, was born in Northumberland in the United Kingdom in 1968, during her childhood here, she was always drawing and designing her own style.

She is a Swiss-based English artist, fashion designer and stylist. She embarked upon her journey into fashion and art with studying Fashion Design, Art, and Textiles at Central Saint Martens School of Art in London. She graduated in 1991 with an Honour’s Degree in Art and Design.

In the Fashion industry, Caroline worked in fashion design with Katherine Hamnett, Christian Lacroix and John Richmond in London and Paris, and in marketing and styling with Liberty of London, Top Man and Warehouse. Her diverse experiences give her a unique insight into fashion from the design beginnings on the worktable to being worn on any occasion.

In 1997 Caroline decided to undertake a path that involved sharing her passion for art and creativity with the next generation. Whereupon she has taught Art & Design, Textiles, and led Personal Projects programmes for senior school students in the UK, Thailand, and Switzerland. Within the field of education, she has led Visual Arts curriculum and programme development, implementing them into schools in Melbourne and Helsinki.

Personally, Caroline has a passion for Art History, flowers, and Asian cultures and philosophies.

These passions prompted a move to Bangkok in 2002, where she lived for nine years. During this period, she devoted much of her free time journeying through Asia and Oceania, discovering the richness of designs, textiles, and art from the variety of communities and cultures she experienced.

In 2011 Caroline moved to where she now calls home, in Zurich Switzerland and continues her travels within Europe and throughout the rest of the world, always delighting in new sights and discoveries.

Throughout all her travels Caroline has been, and continues to be, captivated by cultures, designs, and textiles. These experiences fuse with her training and work to bring a unique, and evolving, influence on her creativity. The resulting distinctive and individual style is expressed in her art and fashion works.

During the recent past, Caroline embarked on a personal and unique transformative journey, navigating through challenging times that impacted her mental health and well-being. Along this path, she discovered profound insights, with the journey channeling her creativity into healing, a process of natural catharsis. Ultimately, this path is leading to a mending of consciousness and spirit, where Caroline continues to find renewed resilience through creativity.
